A gang of street thugs, known internally as the Allegros, accost Lavin between the shop and Lavin's residence, stealing all his personal belongings. March 2007: Planning an April 1 launch, Bosworth staffers arre shocked when a disgruntled, slightly bruised up Lavin approaches their South Johnson Street offices. He demands reparations for his ill treatment, as well as "an Irene Cara CD you took that I was totally not done listening to." To appease the malcontent, they offer him a job as proofreader, which is why the magazine has so many tie-pows. April 1, 2007: The Bosworth system goes online. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Bosworth begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14am Eastern time, April 25. In a panic, humans try to pull the plug ... and Bosworth fights back. |
